Kochery Plantation Homestay (http://kochery.webs.com/), Munnar, Kerala formerly known and recommended by many guide books as Kochery Homestay is now functioning at Iruttala, 9 kms away from the busy Munnar town, located amidst the fragrant cardamom plantations is an ideal place for relaxing and enjoying. The picturesque view of the valley is breathtaking.
Perhaps the only place in Munnar where you’ll feel the warmth of a home. We have four spacious bath-attached rooms with independent balcony. One of the main features of the place is the all-round chirping of birds. It is a once in a lifetime experience which will last in your memory for a long tiime. The ethnic Kerala style food served is an added advantage. The sound of crickets is all that you hear. Playing mists, soul searching winds, silver oaks, fragrant cardamoms........
The homestay is government approved with golden classifications.
The major activities include to that of guided trekking, rock climbing and also a hand at cooking. These cooking classes introduce the guests on the various cooking techniques and also the spices of Kerala. The guests would be given the unique opportunity of visiting the highest Organic Tea Factory in the World “Kolukumalai”. A spices garden visit is also arranged for the guests.
